History of the Dutch Tall Ships!

‘Oosterschelde’
The three-masted topsail schooner ‘Oosterschelde’ (1917) is the largest restored Dutch sailing ship and is a monument for Dutch shipbuilding and maritime navigation under sail. ‘Oosterschelde’ is internationally known for her many impressive journeys since her restoration in 1992, including two circumnavigations. The ship is regularly in use as a floating embassy for companies in ports all over the world.

‘Europa’
The bark ‘Europa’ (1911) travels the oceans all over the world and developed a reputation since 1994 as a ship that ‘really sails’. Tall Ship lovers, even witho7ut experience, can steer, hoist the sails and navigate the ship. The 56 meters long ship was built in Hamburg and rebuilt and refurbished in Amsterdam. The Bark ‘Europa’ is since then wandering the oceans, participates in Tall Ships Races and visits the Antarctic continent every year.
