Arts and music are in the DNA of the Island. Charlottetown is the home to a cultural hub, The Confederation Centre of the Arts, which houses the world’s longest running musical, Anne of Green Gables - The Musical™. The Confederation Centre of the Arts also showcases Canadian artists in the art gallery and has a number of top quality theatre performances throughout the year.
Art comes alive each summer in Charlottetown during the Art in the Open festival. Taking place this summer on August 23rd. Art in the Open takes over the downtown and installs art projects from artisan near and far through our city green blocks and Victoria Park. One of the highlights of the festival is the March of the Crows that send adults and kids alike cawing and flapping through the city streets and home to roost in Victoria Park.
