‘Cause we’re all doing it for the ‘gram, right? A quick wander through the streets of Charlottetown and it won’t take long before you happen upon some of these cool and incredibly “Instagrammable” spots & things to do throughout the city. But to save you a bit of time and confusion, we’ve created a (non-comprehensive) list of both unique and classic sights you won’t want to miss as you (re)discover our beloved seaside city.
1) Nourish your inner bookworm at The Bookman
2) Write on the “Before I Die” Wall (corner of Queen & Richmond St. – side of The Guild)
3) Grab a selfie with the Lobster Mural on Great George Street
4) Play on the Red Piano at the waterfront (by the 2023 sign, bottom of Queen St)
6) Pose with the 2023 sign on the waterfront (bottom of Queen St)
7) Chill in a Red Adirondack chair (scattered throughout the city)
8) Listen to live music on Victoria Row
9) Have drinks on the Roof (Vic Row)
10) Pose with the Blue Heron Sculpture (corner of Water & Queen St., near the Merchantman)
11) Eat a Lobster Roll (one a day for good measure – various restaurants)
12) Catch the sunset at Brighton Beach Range Lighthouse (just past Victoria Park)
13) Take a quintessential COWS ice cream shot
14) Play checkers at a picnic tables on Victoria Row
15) Drink a latte in a cute cafe (highly recommend Receiver Coffee Co., Leonhard’s Cafe, The Gallery Coffee House & Bistro, bar1911, or Casa Mia)
16) Stroll down Great George Street
17) Snap a shot of the St. Dunstan’s Basilica
18) Walk across the Progressive Pride crosswalks on the Queen/Grafton Street intersection
19) Slurp oysters on a patio (don’t miss the oyster specials each day at The Olde Dublin Pub, The Gahan House, and the Merchantman & Next Door)
20) Pose with an Anne Hat (at Anne of Green Gables store)
