After brunch, head over to the Confederation Centre Art Gallery (opens at 1pm),

2. Give Her a Getaway at the Great George

The Great George

The Great George has a well-earned reputation for going above and beyond when it comes to pampering its guests and they’ve pulled out all the stops to create a luxurious Mother’s Day Getaway Package. Available the entire month of May, the package includes a one-night stay at the Great George, a late check-out, and dining and beauty spot gift cards. It’s the perfect gift for moms that find it hard to give themselves the time and space to recharge.

Beer after brunch - perhaps it’s time to start a new tradition? If Mom appreciates a good craft brew, pop into Upstreet Craft Brewing or PEI Brewing Company for a leisurely afternoon beverage.  Or head to the new Craft Beer Corner on Kent and help mom sample a slew of Island beers, as well as local craft sodas, organic kombuchas, and cold brews.

4. Spa It Up!

Make your mom feel like a million dollars with a visit to Grand Senses Spa, where they’ve put together two gorgeous packages just for mom. Choose between a 90 minute facial with a shampoo and blowout for $120, or a 60 minute facial, shampoo and blowout, lunch from Red Water Rustic Grille and a manicure/pedicure for $230. Or give the spa a call and they’ll help create a customized package just for your mom.

A morning walk along Charlottetown’s colourful waterfront is a must if your mom loves the outdoors. Bring a camera (or your phone!) to snap sweet and goofy pics of the family as meander your way from Founder’s Hall to the Delta and beyond. Be sure to get some shots at the big red 2018 beside the Delta and tag your pics with #discovercharlottetown for some sharing love

7. Eat Lobster, Be Happy

Here on PEI, no Mother’s Day is truly complete until lobsters has been devoured. For a traditional lobster dinner and brilliant water views, make a reservation at Lobster on the Wharf - the children’s menu and expansive deck make it the perfect place for family dining. For more elaborate lobster dishes (think lobster poutine, lobster lollipops and lobster gnocchi to name a few) and fare from the land, the Row House Lobster Co. on Victoria Row is a must.

8. Treat Her to the Sounds of Music

If music or musicals are your mom’s thing, surprise her with tickets to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in June or Atlantic Blue at The Guild in July. Tuck the tickets in a bouquet of fresh spring flowers or pair them with a gift card to Mavor’s for a pre-dinner show. She’ll think fondly of you when she’s dancing in her seat!

9. Get Colourful With East Coast Art Party

Fancy taking your mom to one of Charlottetown’s coolest interactive events? East Coast Art Party will be hosting a special Mother’s Day event. Moms will have the chance to paint an extra special spring sign. Not only that, kids can come along and do a 'hand' painting on an 8x10.

10.  Win Her Over with Wine

The gift of delicious imbibements never goes out of style. Treat your mom to a unique wine tasting experience at the PEI Festival of Wines, taking place May 24 to 26.  Snag her a pair of tickets to the Friday or Saturday night Grand Tasting, where over 250 wines from around the world will be on offer. Or surprise and delight her with tickets to the Festival’s newest event,  Prestige: A Fine Wine Tasting Experience, where an additional +75 carefully selected, limited vintages will be available for tasting along with terroir tastings and opportunities to learn more about every aspect of wine-making from winery principals.
