Charlottetown Christmas Tree Lighting

The City of Charlottetown’s Christmas Tree Lighting returns on Friday, November 29, 2024. Featuring live performances by Island artists, refreshments, and a festive tree-lighting with Father Christmas himself!

The event begins with a candlelight promenade, departing from Founders’ Food Hall & Market at 6:15 p.m. The walk will be led by the Confederation Centre of the Arts Intermediate Youth Chorus, who will sing Christmas carols as they lead participants up Great George Street, Victoria Row, Queen Street through the Victorian Christmas Market, finishing at Grafton Street in front of the Christmas tree.

The official Tree Lighting ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the Confederation Centre of the Arts Lou MacEachern Upper Plaza.
